Filter cartridge rivaALVA SKIN&HAIR Description The rivaALVA SKIN&HAIR filter cartridge is a sintered activated carbon block filter cartridge for shower water treatment. The filter cartridge is both paste-free and food-safe and is manufactured in Germany from renewable raw materials. Pollutant retention The retention of pollutants is achieved by three active principles of the activated carbon : - Due to the filter fineness of 20 µm, particles larger than the filter pores are retained. Based on the mechanical effect, suspended particles, rust particles and microplastics, for example, are retained. - Due to the catalytic effect, certain substances such as chlorine and chlorine compounds can be converted. These are then no longer present in their original form. - Due to the adsorptive effect, further pollutants can be absorbed. In this case, they attach themselves directly to the activated carbon and remain there. Thanks to the adsorptive effect, organic compounds such as pesticides, herbicides, insecticides, heavy metals such as lead and copper, drug residues, hormones as well as taste-disturbing substances can be retained.
