The Fluval FX6 external filter with its multi-stage filter system makes it possible to stack filter media exactly in the combination that is most suitable for the aquarium. This ensures unrestricted flexibility to create and maintain the ideal environment for the fish. The enormous capacity and the powerful integrated motor, which circulates the full 2300 litres of water per hour, make it possible to precisely adjust the water properties in aquariums up to 1500 litres. . It can hold up to 5.9 litres of filter media and is nevertheless so compact that it fits into almost any aquarium cabinet. With Fluval's unique intelligent pump technology, the self priming system simply connects the filter to the mains and the filter starts automatically. The filter then fills up with water, briefly interrupts operation to release air and then immediately begins the filtration process. Filtering then continues until the unit is disconnected from the mains again. Every 12 hours, the filter interrupts operation to release air that has entered the system. In this way, the vacuum required for maximum efficiency is maintained. The Fluval external filter also has a connection for refilling the aquarium.
